The stay at the lodge in the Amazon was a wonderful experience. From the transfer to the lodge to the excursions on the river and in the forest, it was a unique experience. Special mention to the guide Tyson and his boatman, who allowed us to discover the fauna and flora in complete safety.

This was an unforgettable adventure (the three day tour) that far, far exceeded expectations. I went with two well-traveled friends and we agreed it might've been the most lovely accommodations/travel journey we've ever had. Elisama, our coordinator, was incredibly responsive and patient. The whole experience was incredible, largely due to the staff at the eco floating/mehreru lodge. Tyson and Josephime, our guides, and their drivers were so attentive, kind, knowledgeable, and tailored the experience to the group. We saw monkeys, sloths, tons of birds, caiman, piranha, and two schools of dolphins! Not to mention awesome lessons about medicinal plants and survival strategies in the rainforest, and an opportunity to meet local schoolchildren and teachers. At the lodge, the chef was *incredibly* accommodating of my friends' vegan diets- it was the best food they had in Brazil, after a week in Rio. Tyson and the chef especially went above and beyond every moment- early mornings, late nights, incredibly generous service. Tips for travelers: - Remember resort ware! After the tours you'll have time to lounge poolside, grab an drink, and star gaze in the rooftop deck. - The transfer to/ from Manaus is an adventure in itself. The boat rides are great, but note that you'll be driving for about 1.5 hours in a van, with a quick gas station stop, sometimes on bumpy roads. Nothing to worry about - just know what to expect. - I learned that tipping in Brazil is different than the US, and I was trying to find info on this, so I'll put it here: If, like me, you're overwhelmed by the care of the staff, tips are graciously accepted. I tipped in both reales and dollars; I honestly wish I had thought to bring just a bit more because it was so well deserved. I wish I had thought more about having sufficient reales to tip more generously.

Brilliantly organised 4 day/3 night Amazonian eco-lodge adventure at Turtle Lodge. Communication over email during trip planning and booking was excellent from Beatriz at PlanetaEXO. She was quick in her responses which were all personalised for us. Transfers to and from Manaus were well organised, with good communication by WhatsApp on the first day of the adventure. Turtle Lodge was a beautiful setting. The rooms were clean with beautiful towel art, plentiful soap, mosquito nets, powerful AC, and beautiful design. Buffet food - while not hugely varied - was plentiful with different fish/meat/soup/vegetarian options and choices of dessert at every lunch/dinner and plentiful breakfast options. The fresh fish was absolutely delicious every day and the best I ate in Brazil. Caipirinhas were also delicious and well-priced at the bar. The activity schedule was well-designed and well-run. Our guide was friendly and always willing to answer questions. Highlights were the nighttime caiman spotting under the beautiful starry sky and the first boat safari, spotting spider and howler monkeys. My friend and I also enjoyed taking out the kayaks ourselves to paddle around the lodge area as an optional activity. We also enjoyed having the downtime in the middle, hottest part of the day which really helped us relax on the trip. We were made to feel safe and secure throughout the trip and the whole experience felt much more relaxing than we might have originally expected with all the forewarning at home about mosquito-borne tropical diseases! A truly unforgettable experience.

This was a fantastic experience. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable and personable, and took care to point out local species of birds, tell us about the wildlife and Indigenous culture, and tailored the experience to our interests. The lodge had a very welcoming, almost family-like atmosphere. Everybody was happy to answer questions at any time, and they went out of their way to make delicious vegan main courses and desserts, which was highly appreciated. The food was INCREDIBLE. I would highly recommend this experience to anybody and it truly exceeded my expectations in every way.

Wir haben unsere Tour ins Amazonasgebiet sehr genossen. Der Transport klappte hervorragend (besser als die meisten Transportmöglichkeiten in Europa), alles völlig pünktlich und freundlich trotz der Sprachschwierigkeiten. Die Lodge war sehr komfortabel und schön, dabei immer noch bodenständig, was ich als sehr angenehm empfand. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, leider konnten sie kein Englisch. Dafür war unser Guide sehr freundlich, kompetent in Sprachen, ausgezeichnetes Englisch, zeigte uns viel und war sehr zugewandt. Großes Lob an Thiago. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl. Einziger Kritikpunkt: Musik, Tanz am Abend wäre schön. Für mich hat es leider auch ein WLAN gegeben, hätte mich schon gefreut, dass die Kinder einmal nicht online wären.
