Itinerary

Day 1

Manaus / Fish market / Meeting of the Waters / Lake Tracajá

Transfer Manaus → Amazon Premium Lodge · ~4h total journey / ~2h20 travel time

The journey starts at 8:00 am with a 20-minute car transfer from Manaus to the Ceasa river port. From there a 30-minute speedboat ride reaches Careiro da Várzea, passing the famous Meeting of the Waters, where the Negro and Solimões rivers flow side by side without mixing. After a short visit to the local fruit market, the trip continues by bus or van for about 40 minutes along the BR-319 highway to the Araçá River. There you board another boat for the final ~50-minute leg, passing through lakes, small channels, floating houses, native villages and stretches of Amazon water lilies, arriving around noon for lunch. In the afternoon, a motorized boat trip on Lake Tracajá spots spider monkeys, sloths, iguanas and herons, with an Amazonian buffet dinner at 7:30 pm.

Day 2

Sunrise birdwatching / Jungle hike / Piranha fishing / Night tour

Depart at 5:30 am to see the rainforest awaken, a special moment for birdwatchers. After breakfast, an 8:30 am jungle hike covers survival techniques, medicinal plants and the forest's biodiversity. The afternoon (around 3 pm) is for piranha fishing, and at 8 pm a night tour spots nocturnal wildlife.

Day 3

Local community / Swimming & canoeing on Lake Tracajá

In the morning you visit caboclo houses to see daily life, rubber and cassava plantations and how the forest provides fruits, herbs and Brazil nuts, sharing food and stories. After lunch, swim and canoe on Lake Tracajá right outside the lodge, with more chances to spot wildlife.

Day 4

Last Amazon views / Return to Manaus

Enjoy a final breakfast and the natural scenery before returning to Manaus (about 3.5 hours, morning or afternoon depending on your flight), arriving around 1 pm.
