Day 1

Canoagem Cabocla & sunset

You are picked up in Manaus and taken to the lodge in Novo Airão. After check-in and lunch at the Camu-Camu Restaurant, you enjoy the 'Canoagem Cabocla', an easy canoe trip in Anavilhanas National Park. As dusk approaches, a voadeira speedboat takes you along the Rio Negro to the best spot to watch the sunset paint the sky over the dark river.

Day 2

Grutas do Madadá

After breakfast, a speedboat takes you up the Rio Negro to Casa Rosa, where a guided trail leads deep into the forest to the Madadá caves. On the way back you can relax on white-sand beaches or try piranha fishing, with a special roasted-fish lunch served in a bungalow, celebrating local Amazon food and culture.

Day 3

'Be a Local' & night wildlife

The 'Be a Local' program in Novo Airão visits the Almerinda Malaquias Foundation (FAM), the Pink River Dolphin Floating Deck and local stores with Indigenous handicrafts, showing how the community sustains its way of life. At dusk, a 90-minute speedboat ride into Anavilhanas National Park reveals nocturnal animals such as caimans and possibly sloths, before returning to the lodge for dinner.

Day 4

Giant trees & riverside communities

After breakfast, a speedboat takes you to a riverside community (Santo Antônio and Tiririca, or Sobrado) for a guided walk along an easy interpretative trail, where you may see the Samaúma, the largest tree in the Amazon. Depending on the season, the afternoon visits the huge Macucu tree in Anavilhanas or explores the paraná das Araras, meeting local people and tasting traditional food.

Day 5

Aquatic trail & departure

On the final morning, a speedboat takes you on a water trail in Anavilhanas National Park, gliding over clear sandy beaches in the dry season or through flooded forests in the wet season. Back at the lodge you pack and check out around noon, with one last special lunch before the transfer back to Manaus.
