We did the 5 day classic Inca trail. The whole experience was fantastic. The weather and terrain were challenging at times but we always felt we were in good hands. The scenery was amazing of course. The food exceeded all our expectations especially given the time available and mobile facilities. However it was the staff who really made it. The porters were so hard working and friendly and we couldn’t have asked from a better guide than Miguel who was knowledgeable, informative, encouraging at the right times and fun to be with. 5 star

Tivemos a melhor comida e serviço durante toda a viagem.

We did the 7 days Lares Trek and our guide was Raul. This trip was amazing from booking, start to finish. The lodges and partner accommodations were super nice. Our favorite lodge was Huacahausi...charming village, beautiful hiking and ending the day with a soak in our private hot tub with an unbelievable view of stars was unforgettable. We loved the flexibility of being able to pick between cultural activities and active activities the night before depending on how we were feeling. Our guide added so much depth to our experience and understanding of Peruvian history and culture! My favorite experience was hiking through a village and handing out bread to the local kids and saying hello. A child's smile will brighten your day no matter what. We learned so much and loved the scenery and visiting so many archeological sites! Every meal was amazing. We are so spoiled I don't know how we are going to go back to eating our regular food ;-)

We booked the 7 days sacred valley tour. The trekking and culture experiences were great. The lodging in general was great. Only on the fifth night, our lodging hotel was in the Peru rail station, it was very load and the air quality was bad in the lodging.

We enjoyed our trip sooo much! The lodges were amazing, beautifully located, nicely decorated and great to relax after some hiking. The food was delicious and had some good variety to it. The trek itself was full of amazing views (we were also lucky with the weather). And there were so many nice details (e.g. warm towels at every lodge when we arrived, hot bottles in our bed before going to sleep) that really made the whole trip more convenient. The extra activities were really cool, we especially loved the whole Patchamama ritual with Santos - it gave the trip a mystical background right at the start. But what made the whole adventure truly amazing were our guides Eddi and Washington! They were so caring, funny, knowledgeable, friendly, kind and made always sure we have everything we needed. They were the heart of our experience and we couldn’t imagine the trip without them!

We were two families (teens 17, 14, 14; child 9) who went on the 7-day Salkantay Trek. Our guides were Javier and Daniel, both of whom were informative, supportive, and professional. We were especially blessed to have the guidance of Javier, most experienced guide. I cannot recommend this experience enough. The pacing was flexible. The trek was gorgeous and varied. The accommodations were clean, intimate, and comfortable. The food was nutritious and abundant. The 'after hiking' offerings included a coffee plantation visit, lesson on how to make Pisco Sour, a traditional blessing from an indigenous elder, a pachamanca feast, picking granadillas off the vine, and outdoor hot tubs. I was particularly delighted to have Mirabelle, a local woman porter, support part of our journey. The company employs several women as part of the operation. Well done!

Lisa

From the moment we booked the trek we were kept up to date and well informed. We chose the Salkantay Trek because it also included some trekking through Inca trails. Everything about the trek ran like clockwork and was so well organized. Our guide Eddie ( the Eagle) treated us like family and was such an encouragement especially on the days when the going was a little tougher than expected. The food was delicious and we never went hungry. You do need to be quite fit for this trek and it is essential that you give yourself time to acclimatize to the altitude before setting off. They made the experience feel even more special and personal than I could have imagined.

Our Inca Trail trek was an amazing experience, in every respect. We can’t thank them enough - and would hugely recommend to anyone wanting to get the most of the once in a lifetime opportunity. Maria Paula was always so quick and comprehensive in responding to any of our queries in advance of travelling, and the trek itself was expertly led by our wonderful guide, Nep. He made our small group feel like a close family, with his warmth and great sense of humour, and his enthusiasm and extensive knowledge shone throughout - providing us with so much insight and interesting facts all the way along the trail, and at Machu Picchu itself - as well as expertly leading the whole team of chefs and porters. The food was outstanding - including fresh baked bread at 4,000m! - and the choice of campsites / timing meant we had the trail pretty much to ourselves all the way to the Sungate. Outstanding!!! We went on the 4-night Inca Trail tour and cannot say enough good things about our experience. Our tour guide, Harry, was fantastic - a wealth of knowledge, safety-conscious, plus fun to be around! Most other tours do 3 nights, but the 4 night tour (which includes one night in Aguas Calientes) allows for much more manageable pacing. It also gave us time to rest in a hotel before our next day’s tour of Machu Picchu and train ride back, allowing us to really enjoy the experience. It also balanced out the more difficult days compared to what we saw of other tours. They are exceptional.

Everything was well organised, all went smoothly and we learned a lot from Lino, our guide. He seemed to have a lot of experience and to know the ins and outs of every place. Also, the food prepared by Andres was simply amazing !! The accomodations were comfortable. We had a lot of fun with the teams, it made for a meaningful experience to have the chance to exhange with locals, the visits were great and the views were splendid. Thanks Roxner for organising such a great trip for us!
