Our adventure into the Amazon jungle tour starts at 08:00 a.m. from Manaus, leaving the hotel by car to the river port Ceasa, a quick 20-minute drive. From there we board a boat to the village of Careiro da Varzea, and during the 30-minute trip, you’ll witness the phenomenon of Meeting of the Waters, where the dark waters of the Negro River and the muddy waters of the Solimões River converge to form the Amazon River. Keep an eye out for the curious pink river dolphins that often come out to greet travellers!
Our journey continues with a visit to the local fruit market, followed by a bus or van ride to the Araça River via the Manaus-Porto Velho highway. On arrival, we’ll board another boat and navigate through a series of lakes, to spot birds, alligators, sloths, and monkeys. You’ll also have the chance to see the giant Amazon waterlilies (Vitoria Regia) with their floating leaves. The journey to the lodge is an adventure in itself, promising unexpected encounters with the jungle’s inhabitants.
Arriving at the lodge around midday, a buffet lunch of fresh fish, meat, salads, and fruits from the Amazon jungle awaits you. The afternoon is dedicated to a motorized canoe trip to learn and see more about the region’s landscapes and diverse wildlife.
Dinner is served around 7:00 p.m. in the lodge restaurant. It’s the perfect end to a day full of adventure and discovery.
Your second day on the Amazon jungle tour starts early! At 5:30 a.m. we take our motorized canoes to enjoy a spectacular colourful sunrise in the rainforest and observe nature, especially the birds awakening to the first rays of sunlight. After a typical jungle breakfast back at the lodge we will go on a hike where our guide will teach you some survival techniques and introduce you to different eatable and medicinal plants. Curious about what else the Amazon has to offer we return to the lodge for lunch.
The afternoon is reserved for piranha fishing, an experience that introduces you to one of the most striking species that you will meet in our Amazon Jungle tour. After sunset and dinner, we venture out in a canoe to observe the nocturnal fauna and spot the alligators. This experience, led by our expert guides, allows us to get up close and personal with these unique creatures.
Our last day of your jungle adventure starts with breakfast at 08:00 a.m., followed by a visit to a local Caboclo’s house! This experience offers an insight into their traditions, sustainable practices and way of life. You will even get the opportunity to visit the local school.
After lunch at the lodge, we’ll make our way back to Manaus, arriving at 5 p.m. This will mark the end of our Amazon Jungle tour, which has given us not only a quick and significant discovery of the Amazon’s natural wonders but also a connection with nature, the land, and its people.

Although the Amazon is considered a year-round destination, the period from January to September offers the best climate conditions because it avoids the peak of Dry Season at the same time that there are good hiking trail options and enough water for aquatic activities.
Speaking of those, the Wet Season (December to May) is great for people who want to enjoy the Amazonian rivers by kayaking, canoeing, swimming and exploring the flooded forest. Rainstorms are common, but they don’t last too long.
The Dry Season (June to November) is popular because it usually allows both water and land-based activities. However, it’s important to notice that extended droughts are becoming more frequent, especially from October to December. This causes low water levels and limited access to a few areas and itineraries, but things tend to get better by January.

Our guide and captain took such good care of us. They are knowledgable, skilled, considerate and incredibly friendly and warm people. I felt welcomed by all of the staff at the lodge. The chefs are excellent - the food has the feel of home cooking but from the home of a very skilled chef! It was delicious. I am vegetarian and there was plenty for me to eat from the usual buffet spread plus chef always made me something extra. I think vegans would be happy too. We went during early December and the dry period hadn’t really ended yet. Waterways were open but the river was low. There wasn’t a load of mammals as there wasn’t fruit on the trees yet but thanks to our guide and Captain (who were determined to help us see as much as possible) we still saw a few monkeys, including night monkeys, pink and grey dolphin and a red squirrel. We listened to the sounds of howler monkeys in the distance during a sunrise excursion and we saw signs of bigger mammals in the rainforest during a trek. The birdlife was amazing - toucans and macaws flying overhead and an abundance of vulture, heron, kingfisher, hawks and countless more swooping closer by. There were also loads of cayman and bats around at night on the river. The lodge itself is beautiful – well kept and the facilities are great (of course not comparable to a hotel given the location mind). I was well protected from mosquitos in the net over my bed and didn’t see a single creepy crawly in my hut over 3 days. If you’re thinking about booking here just do it! I already want to go back. …read more read lessDate of Experience: December 15, 2023

from HungaryNovember 15, 2023My boyfriend and I had an incredible stay here at the end of October / start of November 2023 (5 days and 4 nights)! The lodge has a familial, community spirit where all staff are My boyfriend and I had an incredible stay here at the end of October / start of November 2023 (5 days and 4 nights)! The lodge has a familial, community spirit where all staff are very kind, friendly, attentive, helpful and good-willed. Our tour guide was brilliant, very knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna - including the many birds, caiman, monkeys and dolphins that we saw on our trip. Similarly, our boat driver was very skilled as a boatman, carefully navigating the river when the water level was very low. We visited during the end of the ‘dry season’ and what should’ve been the start of the ‘wet season’, however it didn’t rain before or during our stay. As a result, our itinerary changed drastically as many of the smaller channels nearby were completely dried up - including the lake in the Lodge which was a shame. Despite this, the Lodge did everything they could to make the most of our stay and host a variety of activities including kayaking, boat trips, a jungle walk, caiman spotting, sunrise boat trip, and even a BBQ in the boat driver’s home! The rooms were very comfortable (we stayed in the rooms made from wood) though there were a few creepy crawlies each night and a gecko in the bathroom one evening. But, it’s all part of the experience! Finally, the food was great and there was a wide variety of choices for each meal every day! As a vegetarian, it was more difficult for me as the options were usually chicken and fish - but, the lodge made a special effort for me and cooked a few dishes with soya meat alternative & egg-based dishes. Thank you for a fantastic experience! We would highly recommend to all :) …read more read lessDate of Experience: November 10, 2023

There was actually a lot of options and it was way better than we anticipated! The water in the river was super low and there was no swimming, but that was just the season that we were there. Even during the dry season, though, all of the excursions were great. There was a lot of variety to the activities and we enjoyed all of them. It was a perfect mix of interesting activities and relaxing in the jungle time. Our guide, was phenomenal and spoke perfect English. One thing that didn't really register before is just how far out the lodge is. It is a solid 3+ hours to get there from Manaus. Several of the excursions were back on the main part of the river which took almost hour by boat to reach. Not that any of that is bad, but be prepared to ride back and forth on the river quite a bit. If I was back in the area I wouldn't hesitate at all to stay in this Lodge again. …read more read lessDate of Experience: November 01, 2023
