Amazon Jungle Expedition: 6-Day Trek and Survival Tour

Amazon
5 Nights·6 Days

Overview

This Amazon jungle expedition departs from Manaus and is built for travelers who want to disconnect and dive deep into nature. Over six days of trekking, you canoe and camp where survival skills meet the world’s largest tropical forest. It is one of the few real jungle survival experiences in Brazil that moves with you instead of keeping you at a fixed base.

You explore the biodiversity up close: birdwatching, canoeing through narrow channels and flooded forest, trekking, and fishing for piranha and other native species. Along the way, it is common to spot monkeys, toucans, macaws, and caimans. You sleep in campsites set in the forest and learn how to move through the jungle, apply survival techniques, and use medicinal plants.

More than a trip, this Amazon survival expedition is an invitation to leave your comfort zone and take on learning, challenge, and discovery, with respect for nature and local communities at the heart of everything.

  • Full itinerary: boat safari, jungle treks, canoeing through flooded forest, piranha fishing, hands-on survival skills, and night safaris.
  • Meeting of the Waters, where the dark Rio Negro and the muddy Rio Solimões flow side by side for kilometers without mixing.
  • Trekking and canoeing deep into the jungle to encounter Amazonian wildlife: monkeys, toucans, macaws, and caimans.
  • Wild camping for 5 nights in hammocks with mosquito nets in forest campsites that move deeper into the jungle each day.
  • Hands-on survival skills: fishing, river navigation, plant identification, fire and shelter building.
  • Night activities including alligator spotting, night fishing, and a boat night safari.
  • Activities guided by bilingual, English-speaking local experts throughout the expedition.
  • All-inclusive experience: round-trip transfers, all meals, camping gear, and local guides.
  • Please note: This is an authentic 6-day trek and survival expedition, not a lodge tour. Nights are spent wild camping in hammocks with mosquito nets; conditions are rustic (no private bathrooms, limited connectivity, and electricity), and camps move deeper into the forest as the days progress.
