What couples tell us

Real feedback from couples who honeymooned in Brazil with us, from the Amazon to the coast.

Brazil honeymoon: rainforest, wetland, or island?

A honeymoon in Brazil is a choice between three very different settings, and most couples blend two of them: the Amazon Rainforest, the wide-open Pantanal wetlands, and the beaches of Fernando de Noronha. The common thread is privacy and comfort. These are small lodges and guided days built for two, so you set the pace, and the only schedule that matters is yours.

In the Amazon, the standout for couples is the Anavilhanas Jungle Lodge, a high-end lodge facing the dark waters of the Rio Negro at the edge of Anavilhanas National Park, the world’s second-largest river archipelago. It has just 24 rooms across chalets, bungalows and villas, two pools over the river, a floating bar and a massage room. Days mix canoeing the flooded forest and sunrise boat trips with à la carte dinners back at the lodge. It’s the kind of place a luxury honeymoon in Brazil is built around.

If wildlife is the draw, the Pantanal delivers the continent’s best big-cat sighting. At the Caiman Ecolodge, a 53,000-hectare private reserve, the sighting rate runs near 98% in the dry season—the only place where jaguar-watching is possible in the south.

For sea and sand, Fernando de Noronha is a UNESCO World Heritage Site of 21 islands where the water sits around 27°C with visibility up to 25 meters, and Praia do Sancho is regularly ranked among the world’s best beaches. Daily visitor numbers are capped, so it stays quiet, exclusive, and environmentally controlled. For many people, this is one of the most romantic places in Brazil.

So how does the trip actually work? We plan it private, just the two of you, with your own guide and transfers, and we match the lodges to the comfort level you want. A typical Brazil honeymoon runs 10 to 14 days and pairs two regions—say rainforest and beach, or wetland and beach. The package covers the experience (lodges, guides, transfers from the gateway city, and the meals in the itinerary) but not international flights.
