4-day Serra Fina Trekking

Brazil
3 Nights·4 Days

Overview

Spending four days in one of the world’s most impressive mountains is not for everyone — it takes physical fitness, experience and a true spirit of adventure to tackle the Serra Fina trekking, considered one of the best hikes in Brazil.

Located in the Serra da Mantiqueira, about 274 km from São Paulo (4–6 hours by car), Serra Fina forms a natural border between Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. The traditional traverse passes the iconic Pedra da Mina and Pico dos Três Estados — two of Brazil’s highest mountains — covering roughly 33.3 km over four days, challenging body and mind.

Steep climbs, narrow ridges and wild campsites are part of the adventure, along with breathtaking landscapes, the deep silence of the mountains and the privilege of walking among the country’s highest altitudes. This Serra Fina hike is a true bucket-list trek in Brazil. Shall we share this adventure?

  • Please note: this is a high-level, non-beginner expedition — wild camping with no infrastructure, carrying a full pack across exposed ridges. Approval is required before booking: we assess each participant’s experience and fitness first.
