  • ArrivalSeymour Airport, Baltra · Meeting 12:30 PM
  • EmbarkationBaltra jetty · 1 PM · ~20 min transfer
  • SnorkelBahía Borrero, north Santa Cruz · Sea turtles

The 8-day Galapagos yacht cruise begins at Seymour Airport on Baltra, a small island off the north coast of Santa Cruz. The team meets you in the arrival hall and takes you to the VIP lounge while they handle baggage and the airport checks, which can take up to an hour. A 20-minute transfer then brings you to the vessel.

Lunch is served right after you step on board. Before setting sail, everyone joins the required safety briefing. The crew fits your snorkeling equipment and provides a complimentary dry bag alongside a reusable water bottle for you to keep.

In the afternoon, the tenders land on Bahía Borrero, a white beach on the north shore of Santa Cruz. Small ground finches and cactus finches gather in the coastal scrub. Your first underwater excursion in the calm bay offers regular opportunities to swim alongside green sea turtles.

After lunch, the tenders follow the dark cliffs of El Barranco, where fur seals sleep in the cracks of the rock. Then, land and walk 1.5 km across the lava plateau, through colonies of red-footed boobies, great frigatebirds, and Galapagos storm petrels.

Enjoy a delicious dinner and choose between a film night in the lounge or to contemplate the starlit sky from the sun deck, far from any town lights.

Back on board, lunch is followed by a talk from one of the naturalist guides. In the afternoon, the yacht anchors off Sombrero Chino, an islet shaped like a small hat by its crater. Later, it’s time to cool off in the water off Punta Bartolomé, where reef sharks, sea turtles, and Galapagos penguins are regular sightings. Have lunch while the yacht crosses to the north coast of Santa Cruz.

The guides explain how the breeding and return program has rebuilt several island populations.

On the way back, stop at a specialty coffee shop to taste coffee grown in the Santa Cruz highlands. Enjoy the free time to walk around the town.

After lunch, drive up to the Manzanillo reserve, where giant tortoises graze freely in the green highlands. After lunch, the tenders head to Islote Osborn, a cluster of small islets where you snorkel with young sea lions and shoals of reef fish. The last stop is Bahía Gardner, a long coral-sand beach with one of the largest sea lion colonies in the archipelago.

FAQ

Reviews

“We had a wonderful vacation exploring the Galápagos Islands on this yacht. They have an experienced and accommodating staff. They were very helpful in retrieving our luggage when it was delayed in arrival by the airline and we had already begun our cruise. The ship is well designed with attention to details. The cabins and common rooms were comfortable and luxurious. The imaginative local menu was delicious. There were an interesting variety of activities. The personable guides had a tremendous depth and breadth of knowledge. We enjoyed exploring the varied island wildlife on foot, and by boat. They provided a special side trip to the Charles Darwin Research Center. Equipment for snorkeling was provided. Best of all, laundry was done daily. All in all, we had a superb experience and highly recommend this company.”

“If you can pay the steep price, seeing the Galapagos from this yacht is the thing to do. We did a seven day cruise, and from the moment we embarked to the moment we were escorted through the airport, this trip was about as perfect as a trip can get. Our guides were energetic and knowledgeable, the crew on the ship worked tirelessly to keep us happy, and the boat itself was exquisite. I am a tough customer, and I have nothing but warm memories of the trip. Here are some highlights: our park ranger guides took us on foot and in the water on expeditions where we saw sharks, dolphins, sea turtles, thousands of fish, eels, octopuses, giant tortoises, iguanas, hundreds of sea lions, and birds, birds, birds. Even though we went during the rainy season, each day felt like a spectacular adventure. There is a rigorous schedule, but guests are invited to do whatever feels right for them. We traveled with a legally blind person, and not only were the guides super informative, they went out of their way to help navigate the terrain. We had a child with us, the only child on the boat, and the staff engaged her with great care and warmth, even ensuring that there was always a tender within easy reach while she was snorkeling. We did not have to ask for this, they just did it.”

— Laura

“This yacht is exceptional. We spent 7 nights on board sailing the east islands of Galapagos. It is the most luxurious super yacht in the Galapagos. We stayed in the owner's suite which was nothing short of magnificent. They accommodate up to 16 guests (we were only 10) and they have a team of 16 crew and 2 guides. The food was outstanding and they catered to our every need. The itinerary is jam packed with at least 2-3 excursions a day (all optional of course). They have two Zodiac tenders that take you snorkeling, or to dry landings for hikes in the lava fields, mountains and islands. They have wifi on board which was fast and stable and the crew are so attentive to your every need. The guides were also just incredible, they are knowledgable, speak fluent English and Spanish and shared so many interesting facts. The snorkeling is an obvious highlight and they provide all gear and wet-suites, sun block etc. We saw sharks, rays, sea lions, turtles, marine iguanas, and a tonne of different fish and sea life. I would highly recommend this yacht, and if you can, definitely book the owner's suite, it is massive and very luxurious.”

“The Galapagos islands are absolutely amazing. The unique landscape, the dedication to preserving the islands, the knowledge of the guides and most of all, the yacht we were on was MAGNIFICENT! This yacht is, hands down, the finest ship in the Galapagos. There are no words to express how incredible, other than magical! Everything was amazing – the yacht, the crew, the menu and food, the guides (best individual attention - they assign one guide per 8 guests, where the standard is one to sixteen). This ship only has 7 cabins, so no more than 16 guests, and with 16 crew, the service is truly first class. No detail is overlooked and you are treated like royalty. I know we had a much higher quality experience that was more intimate than any other group or ship we observed while we were in the islands! The first three days, we didn’t see another person or ship, which is incredible and not what I expected (knowing how popular the Galapagos is). During our time on board, we only encountered a few other groups, but never felt crowded. The itineraries were well planned and included an exploration (by panga or on foot) each morning and afternoon, along with at least one snorkel opportunity each day. You could do as much or as little as you wanted, and there were custom options for those that wanted to dive, kayak or paddleboard (depending on location). There was ample opportunity to make the most of each day, but even participating in every activity, it never felt rushed. There was plenty of leisure time to enjoy the sun deck, nap, look at photos or browse the wonderful assortment of books on board. Our expert guides (Jamie, Yvonne and Vicky) were very knowledgeable and fun, ensuring we saw as much wildlife and landscapes as possible, while also providing us with the history of the islands. Because of this, we were able to check off practically every species on the checklist, including sea lions, sea turtles, numerous fish, multiple types of iguanas, lizards, sharks, dolphins, sea horses (!), tortoises, and the most unique birds on the planet.”
