About the adventure
Experience the untouched beauty of Jalapão, Brazil, on an immersive 5-day adventure through breathtaking landscapes. This journey takes you deep into the heart of the Jalapão State Park, where expert local guides lead you through a diverse ecosystem of crystal-clear fervedouros (natural springs), majestic waterfalls, and winding rivers, as well as rock formations—such as Pedra Furada and the Encantado Canyon—and quilombola communities.

To ensure a restful balance to your daily explorations, the itinerary features stays in comfortable guesthouses strategically located at key points along the route. You will enjoy the warm hospitality of São Félix do Tocantins, Mateiros, and Ponte Alta do Tocantins after a day full of hiking and swimming!
We call this adventure Volta ao Parque (VAP), which means exploring the beauty of Jalapão State Park by walking—a way of thinking, feeling, reinterpreting, and reconnecting with yourself. The time has come to enjoy one of the most coveted attractions of any adventure in Jalapão: the fervedouros!
Swim and relax in the crystal-clear waters of Buritizinho before hiking for 4 km until you reach Encontro das Águas, the fervedouro where the Formiga and Soninho rivers meet.

Down the hill, visit the golden dunes of Jalapão—surrounded by mountain ranges and typical vegetation of the Cerrado—and then relax and cool off at Pixico Beach, one of the beaches of the Novo River.
