Day 1
Surf Fundamentals on the Sand / First Waves in the Whitewater / Video Seminar
- Surf lesson· ~3 hours at the beach, a single in-water session of ~2h20 · Small same-level group
- Beach transfer· 7 AM from the surfing school’s HQ to the day’s beach and back
- Video seminar· ~1 to 1.5 hours of analysis, right after the lesson
Your first day at the Itacaré surf school starts on the beach, usually Engenhoca, which has good, gentle waves almost every day of the year. On the sand, your instructor reviews safety protocols and core techniques. Through step-by-step dryland drills, you will practice board positioning, paddling, sitting balance, and the pop-up transition.
Then paddle into the foam to catch whitewater waves, feel the board’s speed, and stand up. Afterwards, a video seminar reviews your session in slow motion to evaluate technique and set Day 2 goals.
