Arrival / Meeting of Waters / Janauari Ecological Park

The adventure begins! At 8 AM, our team will pick you up in Manaus and take you to the pier. Check in on the Untamed Amazon Cruise and enjoy our complimentary drinks and appetizers.

Upon the ship’s departure, admire the gorgeous historic architecture of the city and the Meeting of Waters—the jaw-dropping phenomenon where the dark Negro River flows side by side with the Solimões’ muddy waters without mixing. Take lots of pictures!

Seringal Museum / Anavilhanas National Park

After a delicious homemade breakfast, the group will visit the Seringal Museum to learn everything about the importance of the rubber boom era to the state of Amazonas.

Back at the vessel, it’s time to dive deep into Anavilhanas, the national park where the second-largest river archipelago on the planet is located. Accompanied by expert guides, you’ll join aquatic trails and see the Amazonian fauna and flora up close.

Sunrise / Tumbira Community / River beach

The early hours in the Amazon Rainforest offer a spectacular sunrise in the Three Mouths region, with possible sightings of Amazon river dolphins and giant otters.

Following breakfast, we’ll visit the Tumbira community, located in the Rio Negro Sustainable Development Reserve, to learn about local sustainability projects that have been helping the forest and its residents for so many years.

In the afternoon, we’ll take a relaxing swim in the Negro River and watch the sunset at one of the nearby river beaches.

Day 4 :

Bird watching / Acajatuba Lake / Canoeing / Wildlife watching

The fourth day starts bright and early for sunrise contemplation and bird watching. When the forest is waking up, the golden rays of the sun cut through the trees while the birds color the sky with their bright feathers and happy chirping. It’s an unforgettable sight.

After a hearty breakfast, we’ll navigate to Acatajuba Lake, featuring a visit to the riverside communities, and possibly interact with Amazon river dolphins.

Tuyuka Indigenous Community / Farewell

Your last activity is an educational visit to the Tuyuka indigenous community to learn about their traditions and day to day life.

Enjoy lunch on board and disembark in Manaus at noon. The Untamed Amazon Cruise staff will then take you back to the airport or your hotel.

When is the best time to take the cruise?

As one of the best Amazon river cruises in Brazil, the Untamed operates year-round, with the landscape changing according to water levels. Naturally, this changes the activities guests can enjoy.

During the rainy season (December to May), you can enter the igapós (flooded forests) by kayak, getting very close to the tree canopy. During the dry season (June to November), the river recedes to reveal white-sand beaches, and wildlife (caimans, fishing birds) concentrates in the smaller channels.

How do I get to the ship?

The experience includes shuttle services from Manaus. Whether you’re in the airport or in a hotel, the Untamed’s staff will pick you up and drive you straight to the ship.

Routes can be adjusted due to weather conditions or river levels. Daily activities are estimates, and the exact order and details may vary according to navigational aspects or other itinerary-related factors.

Is the Untamed Amazon Cruise safe? Is there medical help?

The ship meets international naval standards, equipped with GPS, radar, satellite phones, and full safety gear.

The crew is trained in first aid, and we coordinate with medical evacuation services in Manaus if needed.

Are there luggage limits?

Soft-sided luggage is preferred. Strict limits (15 kg) apply if your trip includes a seaplane transfer.

Do I need a visa for Brazil?

When should I arrive in Manaus?

We leave Manaus at 8 AM. Therefore, we recommend arriving in the city at least one day before the cruise.
