About the adventure
This tour offers bird watchers the experience of a lifetime! In the early 90s, Cristalino Jungle Lodge received a group of renowned guests in the world of birdwatching: Alexander Lees, Kevin Zimmer, and Curtis Marantz—the author of the first list of birds in the Southern Amazon, in the state of Mato Grosso.
Due to the number of birds found within Cristalino Natural Reserve, the largest forest reserve in the region, the lodge created special itineraries for birdwatching in the Amazon Rainforest.
When joining highly qualified guides on trails completely dedicated to birdwatching, you’ll encounter native birds and even rare species that aren’t so easily spotted, including members of the Thamnophilidae, Pipridae, Dendrocolaptidae, and Tinamidae families.
Aside from the other amazing outdoor activities – like canoe and boat trips, as well as observation towers for a privileged view of the forest – Cristalino, one of the best jungle lodges in the world according to National Geographic, also offers a five-star stay with comfortable chalets and bungalows, fine dining, sophisticated common areas and overall high-quality service for all guests.
Please notice: the itinerary below is just a sample. The activities in this Amazon tour may vary based on the weather and your preferences. The exact schedule will be decided during your stay.
