Day by day
The Amazon jungle survival tour starts in Manaus, the capital of the Amazonas. Our boat will take us to the Meeting of Waters, where Negro River and Solimões River run parallel to each other for many kilometres without mixing, and you might even catch a glimpse of curious Amazon river dolphins. From there, we’ll navigate through numerous lakes and creeks that are teeming with wildlife, where you can see the giant Amazon water lilies with their huge floating leaves.
On the way to the lodge, you’ll pass by native villages and floating houses of the Caboclo community. The abundance of diverse wildlife in this area, including birds, alligators, fish, sloths, and monkeys, makes it an ideal spot for observing wildlife.
After arriving at the lodge, you’ll enjoy a buffet-style lunch of freshwater fish, beef, chicken, salads, and exotic fruits from the Amazon. After lunch, we’ll take a motorized canoe trip to explore the region, experiencing the pristine and diverse landscapes of the area. You’ll observe a great variety of animals, such as the beautiful white egrets that gracefully walk among the floating grass islands. The first dinner of your Amazon jungle survival tour will be served at the lodge and the night is free to rest and prepare yourself before embarking on our adventure through the Amazon jungle.
After breakfast in the lodge, the real adventure begins. On the second day of your Amazon jungle survival tour in Brazil, we will head towards Lake Tracajá via a motorised canoe, where you’ll find our first campsite Tapirí made of wood and straw from the Babaçu tree.
This campsite is located on the riverbank, making it convenient for activities since the rivers are the primary mode of transportation in this area. Lunch will be served in an open area by the river, with fresh fish roasted over an open fire. Activities for the day will be exploring the region by canoe, engaging in regional fishing, observing the diverse wildlife in the area, and marvelling at the sunset over the Mamori River.
After dinner, we will leave the camp for a night tour to watch for animals. You’ll spend the night in the middle of the jungle in a hammock covered by a mosquito net and rain cover.
Starting our next day of the Amazon jungle survival tour early, you’ll get the chance to watch the beautiful sunrise in the Amazon. Today’s adventure is all about exploring the flora and fauna of the biggest rainforest worldwide. Accompanied by our expert guide, you’ll discover the local wildlife as we trek through the forest and explore further with our canoe.
Our guide will introduce you to the diverse plant and animal species found in the area and teach you survival techniques in the jungle, like how to find food through foraging, hunting, and fishing. We’ll return to our campsite at the end of the day.
With a healthy jungle breakfast, we are ready for a thrilling jungle day on the trails. We’ll spend the day observing the incredible flora and fauna of the Amazon and taking pictures of the magnificent scenery while watching many different kinds of birds.
Before returning to the camp, we’ll have some time to cool off with a refreshing swim in the nearby rivers to relax after this adventurous day on our Amazon jungle survival tour.
Dinner will be served, followed by a peaceful night’s sleep in comfortable hammocks complete with mosquito nets and rain covers.
One last breakfast in the middle of the jungle will prepare us for our canoe trip through the small channels (Igarapes). As we paddle, you will have the opportunity to see Amazon river dolphins (Botos), friendly mammals symbol of the Amazon, an exciting experience, such as other animals like monkeys, iguanas, snakes, caimans, and if we’re lucky, even spot a sloth taking a shower.
Once we have crossed the lake, we will say goodbye to our canoe and look forward to a comfortable bed in a clean room after 3 nights in untouched nature, and enjoy a delicious meal. In the afternoon, we will begin our journey back to civilization, crossing the Lake Mamori at a leisurely pace.
After breakfast, you will have a free morning to relax and enjoy your final day of the Amazon Jungle Survival Tour at the lodge.
You can choose to paddle or go on the lodge’s Eco Trekking. Lunch will be provided at the lodge, and at 1:30 p.m., we will begin our transfer back to Manaus. We expect to arrive in Manaus around 5:00 p.m. and you can choose to be dropped off at either the City Center or Airport.

Frequently Asked Questions
There are a few ways to visit the Amazon Rainforest in Brazil, but the most convenient one is to fly to Manaus, the capital of Amazonas.
From the US, travelers can choose between two different direct flights, one from Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and one from Miami (MIA). Bogotá (BOG) and Panama (PTY) are also great options for Americans and Europeans to land in Manaus as soon as the plane hits Brazilian territory. Otherwise, layovers in São Paulo (GRU), Rio de Janeiro (GIG) or Brasília (BSB) are to be expected.
The Amazon in Mato Grosso and Pará are also amazing vacation spots to explore nature.

Although the Amazon is considered a year-round destination, the period from January to September offers the best climate conditions because it avoids the peak of Dry Season at the same time that there are good hiking trail options and enough water for aquatic activities.
Speaking of those, the Wet Season (December to May) is great for people who want to enjoy the Amazonian rivers by kayaking, canoeing, swimming and exploring the flooded forest. Rainstorms are common, but they don’t last too long.
The Dry Season (June to November) is popular because it usually allows both water and land-based activities. However, it’s important to notice that extended droughts are becoming more frequent, especially from October to December. This causes low water levels and limited access to a few areas and itineraries, but things tend to get better by January.
