Day by Day
Day 1 - From Manaus towards the Amazon Rainforest
On our first day of this exciting journey departs from the capital of Amazonas and make our way towards the Meeting of the Waters, where the Rio Negro and Rio Solimões come together and flow parallel for several kilometers without mixing - a rare and fascinating natural occurrence. The first part of our adventure takes us on a trip from Manaus to the Lodge, where you will have the opportunity to witness the diverse ecosystems, breathtaking natural beauty, and local culture. Along the way, you will encounter herds of cattle, stilt houses that line the roads, families moving about in small boats on the rivers, and fishermen patiently waiting for their catch in stillness and calmness.
Our guide will give you safety instructions and we will start our kayak Amazon river tour , lasting five hours, to explore a unique and paradisiacal setting. Along the Mamori River, travelers will have the opportunity to witness the magnificent Samauma tree (Ceiba pentandra) - one of the largest in the Amazon, standing at an impressive 30 to 40 meters in height, with a trunk measuring 160 diameters. Along the way, various species of birds and caimans (South American relatives of the crocodile) can also be spotted. The adrenaline here is pulsating!

Araquem Alcantara

They will return to the campsite later. Afterward, guests can engage in an interesting conversation with our experienced tour guides, while enjoying a delicious Caipirinha.
Day 2 - Welcome to the jungle and Survival Tours
Join us on an early morning kayaking adventure to witness the stunning sunrise and observe the beautiful birds in their natural habitat. Afterward, we'll head back to the lodge for a delicious breakfast before setting off on a jungle trek led by our knowledgeable guide. You'll learn essential survival techniques, like how to use wine as ropes, how to climb trees, and how to find water and also food, and gain insight into the various plant species found in the area.
Break for lunch and rest. At 3 pm, the adventure continues by rowing for piranha fishing and, with luck, other types of fish, and contemplation of the Amazonian biodiversity at sunset.
Following dinner, guests will embark on a thrilling nocturnal excursion to observe the caimans and experience the mesmerizing sounds of the rainforest at night. During this expedition, our knowledgeable guides will attempt to catch a caiman by hand, while also providing information on its history, physical characteristics, and gestation period. Guests will have the opportunity to take photos and hold a caiman if they desire.
Day 3 - Bird and Landscape Watching/ Local Culture and Regional Plantations
We'll be up before the birds! In the early morning, we'll witness the awakening of daytime animals. Then, we'll embark on a kayaking tour to explore the stunning Mamori and Juma regions. As we paddle along, you'll have the opportunity to contemplate the diverse landscapes in the area and gain a deeper understanding of how the forest cycle works. We will paddle to our lodge base, arriving on time for lunch, which will be served at 12:30.
During the day, guests will have the chance to immerse themselves in the local culture and traditions by visiting a caboclo's house, where they can learn about their customs and way of life. Additionally, guests will have the opportunity to explore rubber and cassava plantations, as well as other intriguing locations that showcase the unique way of life of the local native people.
We will also have the opportunity to observe and learn about the traditional methods of food preparation using locally sourced ingredients. They can even try some of the exotic products themselves if they wish. Alternatively, guests can opt for a second jungle trek tour to further explore the medicinal plants found in the Amazon. Our knowledgeable tour guides will provide information on the uses of these plants to treat various illnesses, a knowledge that has been passed down through generations of native Indian tribes in the Amazon. During the tour, guests will also see the rubber gum tree (seringueira) and witness the process of extracting the natural rubber from the tree without causing harm to it.
After dinner, it is possible to opt for a night tour or stay at the Lodge, and enjoy the facilities that the place offers: bar, Amazonian drinks and relaxing in the hammocks.
Day 4 - Return to Manaus
As the trip comes to an end, guests will enjoy a final breakfast before departing for Manaus at around 08:30 a.m. We offer drop-off service to either the airport or a hotel of their choice. It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye, hoping that guests have had a truly memorable and enriching experience in the Amazon.

The Lodge
The lodging base for our Amazon Kayak River Tour adventure is located in Lago do Tracajá, fed by the Mamori River, in the southeast region of Manaus, in an area of primary forest, with rich biodiversity, and vast options for ecotourism, bird-watching, adventure, and leisure. The lodge works with concepts of sustainability, offering and supporting sustainable projects, and activities that today are selected to compose the lodge’s ecotourism packages. The Lodge is also committed to social actions that benefit the residents of the Tracajá Lake Community, and the development of tourism in the Mamori River region.
The lodge in its entirety is an inspiration of the Amazonian houses and the surrounding forest, a mixture of natural beauty and comfort in the forest. The chalets have balconies, and a privileged view of the forest or the lake and a large window with screens to protect against mosquitoes. Choose between three types of bungalows, according to your preference: Economic Bungalow, Comfort Bungalow, or Superior Bungalow.

You can meet them as receptionists, cooks, waiters, and room maids, all of them have an effective contract and are residents of nearby communities. Customer Reviews
The service was excellent
We are just happy about our indescribably beautiful stay at this Amazon Lodge. The hospitality is nothing short of warm. The “service” was excellent, and everything you need or want to know is lovingly addressed. It’s just extremely relaxing. If you want to discover a part of the Amazon and are looking for adventure, naturalness, family well-being, and regionality – you will be as happy here as we are.
Just getting there is an experience in itself
Wonderful! We spent four wonderful days! Just getting there is an experience in itself! First by boat crossing the Rio Negro and Rio Solimões. Finally, you end up in a beautiful chalet with good hosts, good food, and a good guide. We had a small random and personal group of 6 (India, Germany, and Tyrol) and we had a great time together. Highly recommended!
Hospitality 10, we felt at home!
We were very well received. The staff is all very attentive without exception. Our guides and the boatman were a 10. They are always looking to offer the best service. Improvement that should be made is to vary the breakfast menu, add tapioca, and other regional products. Rooms need renovation. Our room had a leak. Hospitality 10, we felt at home!
I cannot express how kind the staff is there
The rooms are clean however they do not have bed bug covers over the mattress. The buffet had the most vegetables I have been served on the whole trip so I was happy. They have fish, chicken, and beef dishes every night. I cannot express how kind the staff is there. Everyone wants you to enjoy your stay. If you want to unplug from with world and be in awe of the amazing amazon forest this is the perfect place.
A feeling of really being in the jungle
The huts are separate and away from the restaurant, which gives you a feeling of really being in the jungle. The decor is rustic and very pretty. The only downside is that the water in the shower didn’t get hot. On rainy nights, it got a little cold and showering was difficult. But okay, I managed to survive the cold shower because the other days were hot. The bed was comfortable and the room was beautiful, facing the river. The room is very large and spacious. Animals can enter the room at any time, so be aware when opening the door and always keep it closed. The highlight is the tours. It’s a good immersion in the local culture and life in the jungle. Our guide is very kind, and patient and has a great knowledge of the forest. It really is a learning experience!
They do everything to exceed your expectations
A unique experience, accompanied by the guide and the pilot of the speedboat, they made the experience unforgettable, they are kind, understand the “striking”, and will do everything to exceed your expectations. The entire Lodge team makes us feel at home.
Definitely a must-do in Brazil!
We had the most amazing time at the lodge last month. Our family of 5 loved the whole experience from pickup to drop off. We experienced the Amazon, the wildlife, the food, the plants, and the culture. From holding sloths to seeing macaws, watching monkeys, and learning about the natural healing properties of plants and trees we learned so much. Our guide was great and very knowledgeable. Our rooms were super clean and comfortable. We loved the food provided and the lodge grounds were beautiful! We spent time in the hammocks and playing soccer. Definitely a must-do in Brazil!
The lodge attendants were extremely solicitous
We stayed 4 days with 3 friends at this lodge and we were very well received. All the lodge attendants were extremely solicitous and interested in helping. the place is beautiful and very jungle-style, for those looking for an immersion. The food is great, they are very punctual and they gave us a room upgrade when we arrived. They quickly resolved all the problems we had, for example when a frog entered the bathroom or when we asked for mosquito nets for the beds.
You will see all highlights of Amazon
Excellent housing, and some wifi, which lets you really relax. Excellent guides and good food and you will see all highlights of the Amazon. Recommended also with kids. Nice swimming in the Amazon at the lodge itself.
Top-notch team!
Going to the Amazon is, in itself, an incredible experience. With everything going exactly as planned, even better. We went to the lodge on a Monday and left on a Thursday. All transfers were perfect and everyone was attentive. It was our wedding anniversary, and we were given lots of treats and cuddles for the occasion. Top-notch team! The space is very beautiful and the tours are just right, with a break for a rest, perfect timing! It costs to get there, but it’s worth it! Congratulations on the work!
The food was pretty good
This is part of the community and it’s good to be able to interact with the locals. Fishing is fun even if you are not into fishing and the flora and birds are amazing. Don’t expect leopards monkeys etc they avoid contact and they have plenty of room. But you can expect to see plenty of Cayman, lizards, etc. We were in the Honeymoon bungalow which was good and the better rooms do seem to be worth the extra. The food was pretty good but maybe slightly repetitive.
Staff friendly and helpful
Simple accommodation, but that caters well to the less demanding. The food is reasonable. The strength is the staff, friendly and helpful. The guides are all good, according to what we could evaluate.
