The transport from Manaus all worked very smoothly. The activities at Dolphin Lodge were great and Dodo was a fun and knowledgeable guide. The food was good and the hut was comfortable. Highly recommended!"},{"ID":6118,"content":"While the posted itinerary varied somewhat from the actual experience, changes were made for the better, including having a dinner and lunch with local people which was very special. Kayaking (10km) and hiking, or more like walking (max 4km on one route and not sure of the shorter route's length) were my top activities; biking was fine but there are no real trails to go on and instead we biked on dirt roads and the highway for a bit (little traffic) - still wonderful to be biking on Amazonian terrain but can't do much about the fact that they are dirt roads; we decided against biking on day 2. Dipping in small rivers, streams and under waterfalls was super particularly given the humidity and heat.\r\n\r\nThe guide's care and attentiveness to my needs was very good and he was excited about what we were seeing; his explanations of local geography and culture were very interesting.\r\n\r\nThe quality of the truck that we used was lacking (headlights weren't working except in bright mode) and I wonder if it would have passed an overall safety test - something that needs attention. Not sure if there was a basic first aid kit on hand (I should have asked!) and we could have used a bike tool while biking, latter two matters are easy to
