Panoramica

Quattro giorni di cammino nel cuore del Parco Nazionale della Chapada Diamantina, nello stato di Bahia: per molti escursionisti è il più bel trekking del Brasile. Parti dal villaggio di Guiné, sali fino ad Aleixo e al suo belvedere e passi le notti nelle case delle famiglie che vivono dentro la valle.

Cammini per chilometri, ti rinfreschi nella cascata do Funis, esplori la grotta e la cima del Morro do Castelo e scegli tra la cascata do Calixto e il più tranquillo Poço da Árvore. Sono queste tappe, insieme a molte altre, a rendere l’escursione nel Vale do Pati diversa da tutto il resto.

Se l’avventura non ti basta mai, questa valle fa per te: contatto diretto con la natura e un’esperienza su misura, costruita sui gusti e sulle esigenze del tuo gruppo.

Giorno 1

belvedere del Vale do Pati / Cascata do Funis

Benvenuto nella Chapada Diamantina! Alle 6:30 un transfer ti porta al villaggio di Guiné, l’imbocco del sentiero, dove la guida fa il briefing e controlla l’attrezzatura. Il cammino si apre con un’ora di salita agli Aleixos, ripagata dalla vista sulle montagne, poi prosegue tra pianure, ruscelli e la zona dei Gerais do Rio Preto fino al belvedere del Vale do Pati.

Dopo il picnic alla cascata do Lajeado, ti rinfreschi nella cascata do Funis (30 m) e nella sua piscina naturale. La prima notte si dorme alla casa di Igrejinha, tra cena e falò.

Giorno 2

la grotta del Morro do Castelo / Cachoeira das Bananeiras

Dopo colazione ti aspetta la salita ripida di 2 ore al Morro do Castelo: prima la foresta fitta, poi l’ingresso di una grotta imponente. Con le torce raggiungi un affaccio che si apre su tutta la valle, e il picnic lo fai in cima.

La discesa alterna terreno roccioso e sentieri tranquilli nel bosco fino alla Cachoeira das Bananeiras, dove un bagno rimette a posto le gambe. La seconda notte la passi a casa del signor Wilson, che ospita viaggiatori dal 1997 ed è ormai parte dell’esperienza.

Giorno 3

cascata do Calixto / Poço da Árvore

Dopo una colazione abbondante, scegli tu. Se vuoi spingere di più, punta al Calixto: saliscendi continui, una foresta di alberi grandi, terreno roccioso e in fondo la cascata do Calixto, 40 metri di salto. Se preferisci una giornata più calma, il Poço da Árvore ti aspetta con una piscina naturale e cascate in mezzo al verde e ai canyon.

In entrambi i casi torni alla casa che ti ospita e guardi il tramonto accendere d’oro i canyon, prima dell’ultima notte nella valle.

Giorno 4

belvedere del Cachoeirão / rientro a Guiné

L’ultimo giorno hai ancora una scelta: la Fenda da Prefeitura, impegnativa, con una prospettiva insolita sul Morro do Castelo, oppure una salita più dolce. Poi arrivi al belvedere del Cachoeirão, un affaccio a 260 metri da cui, dopo la pioggia, si contano anche più di 20 cascate.

Dopo l’ultimo picnic e un tuffo nella piscina del Cachoeirão, attraversi le pianure dei Gerais do Rio Preto e scendi lungo il sentiero dell’Aleixo. Arrivo a Guiné verso le 16:00 e transfer per Lençóis.
