Questo trekking di 3 giorni nei Lençóis Maranhenses ti porta a piedi tra le dune bianche del Brasile: immensi campi di sabbia che si susseguono senza interruzione. Lungo il percorso ti fermi a riposare e a nuotare nelle lagune di acqua dolce. Il tracciato tocca i paesaggi più vari del Parco Nazionale dei Lençóis Maranhenses, e in questo deserto hai tutto il tempo per guardarti davvero intorno.

Passi le due notti nelle oasi all’interno del parco, a casa di famiglie che ci vivono da generazioni. È uno scambio culturale diretto: condividi la loro quotidianità, e il cammino smette di essere solo una questione di gambe.

  • 2 notti nelle comunità delle oasi (Baixa Grande e Queimada dos Britos).

Giorno 1

Barreirinhas (o Atins) / Rio Negro / oasi di Baixa Grande

Il trekking di 3 giorni nei Lençóis Maranhenses comincia presto: il partner locale di PlanetaEXO ti viene a prendere alle 4:30 al tuo alloggio a Barreirinhas.

Il tragitto in 4×4 fino all’imbocco del sentiero a Rio Negro dura circa 2 ore su piste fuoristrada, con una sosta lungo la strada per l’alba sul paesaggio intorno. Poi il tuo trekking nei Lençóis Maranhenses comincia davvero: 6 km leggeri (2–3 ore) fino all’oasi di Baixa Grande, con soste alle lagune per rinfrescarti e arrivo previsto verso mezzogiorno.

Dopo il pranzo e il riposo il gruppo torna sulle dune per un altro bagno e per il tramonto. Cena e pernottamento a casa di una famiglia locale.

Nota bene: al posto di Barreirinhas il tuo trekking può partire da Atins. In quel caso la partenza è alle 7:00. Conferma la logistica al momento della prenotazione.

Giorno 2

Baixa Grande / Queimada dos Britos

Colazione presto alle 4:30 e partenza a piedi alle 5:00. I 12 km tra le due oasi attraversano lunghi tratti di dune aperte e il corso stretto del Rio Negro. L’alba vista da dentro le dune è uno dei momenti più fotografati del trekking.

Le soste alle lagune spezzano il percorso: si nuota, si riempiono le borracce, ci si riposa all’ombra. A Queimada dos Britos si arriva verso le 10:30 e, dopo il pranzo a casa della famiglia che ti ospita, il pomeriggio è libero: riposo in amaca, bagni nelle lagune vicine o una camminata sulle dune intorno all’oasi. Più tardi, tramonto da un punto panoramico vicino alla comunità.

Giorno 3

Queimada dos Britos / Lagoa do Cajueiro / Santo Amaro

La terza e ultima tappa del trekking di 3 giorni nei Lençóis Maranhenses è anche la più lunga. Colazione alle 2:30 e partenza alle 3:00, con le frontali accese. Nell’aria fresca della notte attraversi le prime dune e raggiungi un punto alto giusto in tempo per l’alba.

Il percorso di 12–14 km comprende diverse soste alle lagune per nuotare e riposare, con arrivo alla Lagoa do Cajueiro verso le 9:00. Da lì un veicolo 4×4 porta il gruppo a Santo Amaro, dove il viaggio finisce verso le 10:00.

Il trasporto da Santo Amaro a São Luís (transfer privato o van condivisi alle 4:00 e alle 13:00) non è incluso e si organizza a parte.
