Panoramica

Il trekking di 4 giorni nei Lençóis Maranhenses attraversa a piedi il parco nazionale da parte a parte: il deserto del Brasile fatto di sabbia bianca e acqua piovana. Si cammina a lungo sul terreno morbido, ma ogni giorno il ritmo si spezza con soste per riposare e nuotare nelle lagune.

Trascorri le tre notti tra le dune, nelle oasi di Baixa Grande, Queimada dos Britos e Rancharia, ospite delle famiglie che le abitano. È questo a cambiare il viaggio: mangi quello che cucinano e vedi da vicino come si vive qui.

  • 3 notti nelle comunità delle oasi: Baixa Grande, Queimada dos Britos e Rancharia.

Giorno 1

Barreirinhas / Rio Negro / Oasi di Baixa Grande

Il trekking di 4 giorni nei Lençóis Maranhenses comincia prima dell’alba: alle 4:30 il partner locale di PlanetaEXO passa a prenderti al tuo alloggio a Barreirinhas.

Il tragitto in 4×4 fino all’imbocco del sentiero a Rio Negro dura circa 2 ore su piste fuoristrada, con una sosta lungo la strada per la colazione e per l’alba sulle dune. Da lì la traversata dei Lençóis Maranhenses comincia davvero, con 6 km leggeri (2–3 ore) e qualche laguna in cui rinfrescarti prima dell’oasi di Baixa Grande. Arrivo previsto verso le 10:30.

Dopo il pranzo e il riposo il gruppo torna sulle dune per un altro bagno e per il tramonto. Cena e pernottamento a casa di una famiglia locale.

Attenzione: il trekking può partire da Atins invece che da Barreirinhas. In quel caso la partenza è alle 6:30. Conferma gli orari quando prenoti.

Giorno 2

Baixa Grande / Oasi di Queimada dos Britos

Colazione alle 4:30 e partenza a piedi alle 5. I 12 km della tappa, circa 5 ore, attraversano le dune e il filo d’acqua del Rio Negro, con l’alba e i bagni nelle lagune lungo il cammino. Arrivo previsto a Queimada dos Britos verso le 10:30.

Dopo il pranzo e il riposo si torna sulle dune per il tramonto. Queimada dos Britos è la più grande delle comunità delle oasi, un posto tranquillo per chi ama la natura intatta. Cena e pernottamento a casa di una famiglia locale.

Giorno 3

Queimada dos Britos / Rancharia

Si parte prima: sveglia alle 3, colazione alle 3:30 e partenza alle 4 con la lampada frontale accesa. I 14 km della giornata, circa 6 ore, comprendono soste nelle lagune e l’alba vista dalle dune. Arrivo previsto a Rancharia verso le 10, pranzo alle 11.

Rancharia è una comunità piccola e accogliente, una quindicina di famiglie in tutto. Qui si trova la Lagoa Bicudo Gordo, una delle lagune più grandi e spettacolari del parco. Dopo il riposo, il pomeriggio porta un altro bagno e il tramonto sulle dune. Cena e pernottamento a casa di una famiglia locale.

Giorno 4

Rancharia / Lagoa do Junco e Cajueiro / Santo Amaro

La tappa più lunga chiude il trekking di 4 giorni nei Lençóis Maranhenses. Sveglia alle 3, colazione e partenza alle 4 per percorrere 16 km (circa 5 ore) fino alla Lagoa do Junco, una delle lagune più belle del parco. Strada facendo, sosta per ammirare l’alba; all’arrivo, l’ultimo bagno.

Arrivo alla laguna verso le 9, con tempo per riposare e nuotare. Alle 10 un veicolo 4×4 porta il gruppo a Santo Amaro in circa 30 minuti: qui il viaggio finisce, con arrivo previsto alle 10:30.

Attenzione: il trasporto da Santo Amaro a São Luís (transfer privato o van condivisi alle 4 e alle 13) non è incluso e si organizza a parte.
