Amazonas mit Stil
Die Anavilhanas Lodge ist großartig. Tolle Lage mitten im Regenwald, spannende Ausflüge, leckeres Essen und super nettes Personal. Diejenigen, die den Regenwald kennenlernen möchten und dabei nicht auf Komfort und eine schöne Atmosphäre verzichten möchten, sind hier bestens aufgehoben.

Luxus am Rio Negro
Wir waren 5 Tage hier und haben die Rio Negro Region genossen. Tiersichtungen gibt es hier wenige, da aufgrund des PH-Wertes des Rio Negro hier sich manche Tiere nicht heimisch fühlen. Aber sonst alles super, sehr freundliches und professionelles Personal. Baden im Rio Negro jederzeit direkt bei der Lodge möglich. Die Bilder hier sollten einen guten Eindruck verschaffen. Eine 100%ige Empfehlung!

Confort dans la jungle
Le confort ultime au beau milieu de la jungle. Nous y avons passé 3 nuits 4 jours. Les activités offertes sont diverses avec la pêche, la promenade dans la jungle, les contemplations. J’aurais aimé un peu plus d’activités physiques mais je comprends qu’il faille s’adapter au plus grand nombre de gens. La nourriture est aussi excellente.

Unforgettable Adventure
It was a trip of a lifetime. My friend Lindsay and I were so grateful to Leandro, Kenrick, Dr. Ramon, Douglas, and everyone else who helped make this a special experience. I learned so many things I never knew before and I will cherish all of the memories. If you express interest in anything, the guides are more than happy to tell you more. The day with Leandro was particularly magical. Dr. Ramon gave us a bonus history of Brazil lecture because we were asking him so many questions about the country, and it was probably the best highlight of our entire two week trip to Brazil. You learn so many secrets when you’re here, like the fact there are almost zero mosquitos – instead of mosquitos they have butterflies. Cassava is actually the same plant as yuca, but it’s prepared in so many different ways. Douglas was manning the gate to the property, but he was not phased at all when I showed up randomly trying to take pictures of birds (there was a cecropia tree near the entrance that the toucans and tanagers were visiting habitually), and so spending time with Douglas ended up being another highlight. He was showing me all kinds of things just around the guard station: iguanas, monkeys, trogons, etc.

Expérience inoubliable
Tout est magnifique, le chambres, le lobby, le restaurant, les piscines…
La nourriture est excellente avec bcp de choix différents chaque jour.
Les activités sont variées et les guides adorables, ils parlent tous extrêmement bien anglais et parfois même français.
Tout était parfait, nous espérons pouvoir revenir un jour.

Incroyable expérience : guides, services, complexe au top au milieu de la nature. Très bonne ambiance : staff à l’écoute, parle très bien anglais. Très bonne nourriture également. Je reviendrais avec plaisir.

A superb stay in a lovely lodge with great Amazon basin experience
The lodge is superb giving us great experiences during the stay.

First of all it is wonderfully laid out and tastefully decorated. We stayed in a Bungalow and loved it including the walk to it. The Deck by the river and the main reception area is where we spent a lot of time. The Deck is just brilliant to spend time by the river.

The service is friendly, not over bearing. The guides are the best – Roberion and Gabriel were brilliant. Reneta, who captained the boats was great too. We saw a wide variety of wild life : Boa constrictor, Caiman, various spiders including tarantula, birds including Macau, owls, nighthawks, white hawks, parrots etc., the three toed sloths, Opossums, grey and pink dolphins – the boa being the highlight. We fished Pirhanas and the odd Tilapia. We love their focus on Conscious Tourism and seeing animals in their natural habitat. The tours were great – the nocturnal one being the highlight. The activities are well spaced out and gives you enough time for personal things.

Food is good – I would not say exceptional or fine dining. The focus on local foods is excellent. There is wide variety of choice and they make every effort to satisfy your gastronomical tastes. The restaurant is well laid out with your own tables – there is no forced mixing. The service is excellent.

The rooms are spacious and cleaning is of very high standard. We never met the house keeping staff but they were brilliant.

We took the sea plane to arrive and it was a great choice. It is strongly recommended including the fly over the Meeting of the Waters. We returned by their vehicle and it was very comfortable and took 3 hours to their property in Manaus – where stayed one night. Villa Amazonia is a great place to stay and the location cannot get better in Manaus.

Our check in was a bit rushed. Another 10 minutes of explanations would have been better as we took a bit of time to figure things out.

Overall a great stay. Language is not a barrier. While Portugese is the spoken language, English is well understood.

Four days at Anavilhanas Lodge
The Rio Negro is a special experience. Its black surface makes incredible reflections. Everything activity begins with the river, where all you see is nature. Wide expanses of water, river edge grasses and mangroves, the jungle beyond, and huge cumulus clouds are a joy to experience.

Do all the activities. The guides have indigenous backgrounds, love their environment, and make the activities easy and fun, worthwhile experiences.

The lodging, the dining building, the reception area and the docks are all designed to enhance the environment and are well maintained.

Eye-opening and life-enhancing
Anavilhanas was absolutely delightful – super comfortable, with charming and helpful staff, utterly delicious food and, in my case, four days of eye-opening nature experiences. As a confirmed city-dweller nature can sometimes seem rather alien and I am truly grateful to the guides for passing on their knowledge of customs and wildlife. Their respectful empathy with local people was very noticeable. I feel that I am returning home a different person from the one who arrived at Anavilhanas a few days ago.

Sehr gut Sehr schöner Ort, faszinierend, tolle Ausflüge mit guter, sehr kompetenter Führung/ Begleitung, lehrreich und doch nicht zu lang. Perfekter Service , absolut zuverlässig; traumhafte Anlage, sehr schön zum Verweilen. Auch das Essen ist exzellent.
