Day 2 - Monkey’s Lair, bath on Fumaça Waterfall
After the delicious breakfast in the morning, we will go up to the Monkey’s Lair, where we will leave our backpacks. We will continue for another 2 hours along a trail within the Smoky Canyon. The canyon is closed, humid, full of trees, palm trees, and ferns. The surrounding walls rise for four hundred meters and the waterfall well has the cooler and darker waters of the Chapada Diamantina National Park. The immensity of the place and the feeling of smallness are indescribable. After bathing, we will return in the same way to Monkey's Lair, where we will spend the night.
