The luxury Amazon Lodge Its design and construction are entirely eco-friendly, and the architecture is inspired by the building techniques used by the indigenous people of the Amazon River to construct their homes. The perfect combination of rusticity and sophistication creates a unique and memorable experience.

The lodge's common areas are constructed in the same style, raised on stilts and covered with babaçu straw. Among these areas are a restaurant, a small bar, a cozy hammock area for relaxation, and a deck that provides a stunning view of the river. The swimming pool is a unique feature of the lodge, designed to sit under a floating deck protected by submerged railings. The pool utilizes water from the river, providing guests with an authentic and safe swimming experience. The area around the pool is perfect for soaking up the sun, and guests can also enjoy refreshments from the nearby small bar.

An exciting new feature at the lodge is the 31-meter (102 ft) high tower, providing guests with a one-of-a-kind experience of observing the stunning Amazonian landscapes from above. The tower offers panoramic views and is perfect for birdwatching, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the unique natural surroundings of the region.

Accommodations

Featuring 20 cozy bungalows, each providing breathtaking views of the surrounding Amazon. Among these, there are 6 Forest View Bungalows, 10 River View Bungalows, 2 larger bungalows suitable for families, and 1 panoramic bungalow. Every bungalow comes equipped with a private bathroom, featuring solar-powered hot water systems, as well as comfortable hammocks and ceiling fans, perfect for a peaceful evening in the Amazonian wilderness, which tends to be far cooler than Manaus. The Family, Panoramic, and Juma bungalows also offer air-conditioning for added comfort during your stay.

During your stay at the luxury Amazon lodge, you have the option to explore pre-defined itineraries, led by a bilingual guide, which may be subject to change based on weather conditions.

Meeting of the Waters

On our way to the Lodge, we take a break to witness the awe-inspiring spectacle of the Meeting of the Waters, where the murky waters of the Solimões River merge with the dark waters of the Negro River. This significant confluence is where the two rivers, each with their unique speeds, temperatures, and textures, flow alongside each other for several kilometers without blending together. Eventually, they converge to create the mighty Amazon River.

Canoeing

Our canoeing tour offers an immersive and intimate exploration of the igarapés and igapós, an adventure that can only be accomplished through paddling canoes. As you journey through these waterways, you will be serenaded by the enigmatic sounds of the forest.

Night Tour

We embark on a nocturnal expedition to observe frogs, birds, and, most importantly, caymans. Our guide relies solely on his flashlight to spot these creatures, adding a thrilling element to the tour. The sounds of the night are equally impressive, as is the star-studded sky.

Sunrise at the river

In the early hours of the morning, we will witness the captivating transformation of the sky's colors and the symphony of birds as they awaken. Our guides come prepared with binoculars to enhance this experience and provide ample opportunities for birdwatching.

Jungle Hike

During this enlightening jungle walk, our knowledgeable guide will acquaint us with the diverse wildlife of the Amazon. He will showcase various plants and describe their practical uses, as many are edible or have medicinal properties. To protect the forest, the paths used for exploration walks are regularly altered.

Piranha Fishing

We will hop on a motorboat to fish and gain insight into the notorious piranha and other Amazonian fish species. Fishing is more convenient during the dry season as the fish cannot conceal themselves in the flooded regions as they do during the wet season. Once we are done fishing, we will pause to admire the beautiful water lilies. As we return to the lodge at sunset, we will be greeted with some of the most breathtaking views that the Amazon has to offer.

Visiting local inhabitants

An indigenous local will impart their expertise on traditional medicinal plants and showcase the process of preparing manioc flour, one of the region's primary exports and economic drivers.

@shelton_1111

Visiting a Sumaúma Tree

We will tour a colossal Sumaúma tree that has been standing for around a century. The Sumaúma tree is renowned as the Amazon's largest tree variety in terms of both height and diameter, with heights of up to 40 meters.

@carol.zanetti

Tree Climbing

This activity is conducted by Amazon Tree Climbing, a renowned chartered company recognized for pioneering recreational tree climbing in Brazil. Tree climbing presents an exceptional chance to explore the treetops of the Amazon's largest trees. This tour is exclusively available by request before travel and must be confirmed through email.

Overnight in the Jungle

After dinner, we will accompany the guests on an overnight jungle stay, where they will slumber in hammocks. Sleeping among the trees and listening to the sounds of the nearby animals is a truly remarkable and unforgettable experience.

Extra Tours and Services

Some tours are not on the regular itineraries but can be booked as an extra. And we also have additional and personalized services: Pink Dolphins, in cooperation with a floating platform in Negro River, we can offer close interaction with pink dolphins. They are very friendly and it is possible to swim with them; Lake Janauari, is a prime area where we can find a significant number of water lilies. We offer lunch in the restaurants by the river; Honeymoon, for those guests celebrating their honeymoon, we can offer a private breakfast inside the bungalow, fruit baskets, champagne, and a private sunset tour accompanied by wine and cheese.

    Magnificent service

    March 12, 2023

Magnificent service. Nice food! Very cool experience in the Amazon! We got rain in February (it seems to be common at that time), but nothing that interfered with the trip. Negative point: they had not warned us that some places were under maintenance, such as the pool.

    Excellent guide and boat crew

    March 9, 2023

I have rated our stay as four stars because we had an excellent guide and boat crew while we were there and they were what made the stay so great for us. Unfortunately, while we were there, not only was there no river pool (something that had influenced my choice of the lodge and we were not told it wouldn’t be there) but also on one night they closed the bar and after two nights they closed the communal sitting area. I appreciate maintaining a natural property like this in the middle of the Amazonas is hard but to take the pool away for repair and then close the main reception area for roofing as well is not great. The food here was really good and varied but the plan is that you sit with your guide at meal times and so you don’t really get to choose who you sit with. The activities here are really good and we had very small groups at all times which meant we were much quieter than other larger groups at the lodge and so saw more wildlife. I wouldn’t have wanted to be in the larger group. Overall my impression is that the lodge needs some TLC and it would then be lovely. But we are there for the Amazonas and we saw some amazing plants, learned about life in the area, fishing for piranha, saw river dolphins and monkeys and had a great time.

This is a service of another level

    February 20, 2023

we have been to many jungle lodges around the world what makes this one unique is the stilts the lodge is on. the entire hotel is on stilts and u feel much safer as u are far away from the ground. Also, the villas are far away from each other giving us ample privacy. It was a long ride getting to the hotel almost 3 hours once we landed but the boat rides were fun.

The staff was amazing and the manager was extremely kind and caring and so were the rest of the staff. My friend’s shoe sole peeled away and we were going for a jungle walk and she did not have another pair of shoes. The manager went to her room and came back with a pair of her own shoes. This is a service of another level. The rooms were large and had very comfortable beds with a very relaxing hammock on the balcony with a view of the lake. the room and bathroom were clean. there is no air conditioning but the nice breeze from a large open window was refreshing and we had a couple of fans. it was not that bad.

Not having wifi everywhere was bliss. you go to the wifi room once or twice a day and check messages etc. The device-free vacation was a welcome break. The food was amazing we were vegetarian and they made excellent pasta, beans, fried rice, and other dishes to suit our palette. the fresh fruits and fresh juices were amazing. Overall we were surprised by how well they made the veg food. The hotel has a very nice dining area and a hammock shack which is very relaxing after a heavy meal. the pool is filled with river water and is very beautifully located. Activities were amazing too especially the jungle walk, piranha fishing and night boat safari where we got a chance to hold a cayman and also see a green boa constrictor. We were very busy with activities every day and enjoyed every minute of it.

An incredible stay that I absolutely recommend

    February 15, 2023

Very nice eco-lodge in the Amazon rainforest. Transfer from Manaus (3 hours by car and boat) is very well organized and the impression of arriving at the end of the world. An impressive lodge on stilts, with comfortable rooms, excellent food, hammock to relax and listen to the sound of animals. Various activities: sunrise over the Amazon, piranha fishing, caiman watching at night, canoes and walking in the forest… an intense and “wet” experience (rainy season) with a very professional and friendly guide. An incredible stay that I absolutely recommend.

    Impeccable!

    December 29, 2022

Impeccable! The best part is the dynamics of the hotel for those who work there, the employees’ rest times are respected and fair, the structure is well maintained and they provide valuable information and knowledge about the forest and the river.

    In the middle of nature!

    November 22, 2022

Very nice eco-lodge in the Amazon rainforest! The transfer from Manaus is well organized. On arrival, very nice discover the lodge on stilts, the rooms are very comfortable and make us quickly forget civilization because we are in the middle of nature! The food is excellent. The activities (walking in the Forest, fishing, night cruise, the discovery of local inhabitants…) allow you to fully discover the Amazon. We had a wonderful guide, a real expert who goes beyond the simple guide teaching us many things during our activities.

    Trip of a lifetime

    November 22, 2022

Our group of extended family ranged in age from six to sixty and we all agreed the lodge was wonderful. Our guide was especially good with the children. All the meals were buffet style with a wide range of foods. I could try all the local fish, cassava, and hot sauces. The kids could enjoy their chocolate cereal, French fries, and plain pasta. Our guide and the staff spoke English so if we needed anything or had a question, we could always ask. It was incredible to see the beauty of the rainforest and all the animals — pink dolphins, a sloth, monkeys, caiman, a macaw, a tapir, parrots, iguanas, a boa constrictor, and so many birds. It was also great to see how the lodge supported the forest and the local community. I plan to go back to see the rainforest when the water is high. It was a trip of a lifetime.

It was a transformative and magical experience

    October 19, 2022

It was a transformative, magical experience from the moment they pick you up until they drop you off. They have truly thought of anything and everything that can make your stay unforgettable. We were so impressed with the design of the lodge (like a treehouse on the river), the carefully thought-out itineraries, the amazing guides, and the delicious food. It is impossible to capture everything in a review but I will try. The 5-night package gives you two special activities you don’t get with the other stays: the Tree Climbing and the Overnight Jungle Stay. Both were highlights.

    Meals are plentiful and tasty

    September 30, 2022

The Hotel is very beautiful, you feel really immersed in the forest. The room is large and comfortable (it does not have air conditioning, which makes the experience even more authentic). Meals are plentiful and tasty (like home cooking) the walks are really nice. Our guide improved during the stay, a little immature, he had a disagreement with a couple in the group and sometimes I had the impression that he was there just to meet the schedule I personally did not appreciate the type of humor (but it is personal and did not detract from the experience ). As time passed he became more pleasant and attentive. The strong point is the walk in the forest and the canoe ride on Lake Juma. Another positive point we didn’t see any mosquitoes in the hotel. I recommend it to anyone wanting an authentic experience without losing comfort.

The hotel is in a great setting

    August 15, 2022

The hotel is in a great setting, located in a very nice part of the Amazon forest. Plus, the hotel infrastructure is very beautiful and comfortable. However, the service from the reception and especially our guide was not oriented to make our experience better. Additionally, the time schedules for all meals are very tight (only one hour for each), leaving little flexibility for the guests to manage their free time between activities.

Very beautiful complex in the middle of the Amazon

    August 7, 2022

Very beautiful complex in the middle of the Amazon half a day to access it and arrive in a paradise in the middle of the Amazon. Cozy bedroom in the trees. Activities such as sunset, walk in the jungle, meeting of the two rivers, evening boat for the caimans.

    Super integrated way with nature!

    July 30, 2022

I stayed for 4 nights, with my two children (8 and 10 years old). And everything far exceeded my expectations! It’s a wonderful place, with super clean, cozy rooms, tasty food, and amazing tours…. All done in a super integrated way with nature! And the most attentive and happy staff I have ever encountered in a hotel! Our guides were wonderful and did everything with great joy and safety! Hope to be able to come back often!!!

The hotel team is to be congratulated for the reception

    July 15, 2022

Excellent stay. The hotel team is to be congratulated for the reception, infrastructure, and service. The tours offered are great and provided a nice integration with the forest. Exceptional food is also in an environment of integration and experiences. I highly recommend it as an experience in the Amazon.

The pool was the coolest because it sits in the river

    July 3, 2022

Amazing experience all around. The transportation to get out to the lodge is a very well-run operation – it takes a little over 3 hours between two van rides and two boats. It is absolutely worth it. The lodge itself is impeccable and complete yet simple. I felt at times like I was at a resort but without the attitude. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, and the guides, generally local to the area, are so knowledgeable and passionate about their work. The food is delicious – every meal was awesome. The jungle picnic was a surprise because it was prepared in a bungalow located away from the lodge itself. The pool was the coolest because it sits in the river (protected by a net) and we used it extensively.

Highlight for the guides and their dedication

    April 21, 2022

The Hotel provides a true immersion in the forest, with several walks and intimate contact with the local flora and fauna. Highlight for the guides and their dedication and promptness throughout our stay. The bungalow is clean and comfortable, the facilities are wonderful and the food is delicious! We loved it!

The Amazon in a very special way

    April 20, 2022

From the first moment, we have felt close treatment by the entire Staff. Our guide made us feel all the adventures of the Amazon in a very special way. We saw many animals and did countless activities. I recommend it to anyone who is thinking of going to Amazon.

Great place for vacations and to experience Amazon

    April 13, 2022

My husband and I had a great time at the lodged. Everything was good, from the first day to the last. Good food and drinks, attentive staff. Good balance between tourism and Nature. No delays on the meal schedules or tours. The guide had a great knowledge of the Forest and local culture. Great place for vacations and to experience Amazon.

    Ana (Brazil)

    Great experience

You can truly feel, smell and hear the forest

    January 7, 2022

With beautiful facilities and accommodations in the heart of the Amazon, you can truly feel, smell and hear the forest. We were delighted with the resident monkeys and the stunning views.

The staff was incredibly helpful and caring throughout our stay. The transfer is very efficient and well organized. The hotel owner is always available and she and the staff come to say goodbye when the guests are departing, which is a nice touch. The tours were good but didn’t go as described. I only wish o would have learned more about the local animals, everything else was great and I would recommend it!

    Arch (United kingdom)

The entire hotel staff is amazing

    August 3, 2021

The hotel is literally inserted in the middle of the Amazon jungle, and it should be noted that the hotel’s proposal is exactly that. The structure of the hotel is all on stilts, so any and all travel is done on foot or by boat. We purchased the 5-night package and we went to the height of the rivers I highly recommend it, it was fantastic. The entire hotel staff is amazing, they are super helpful with everything. Internet access is limited to a single place in the hotel through a password valid for 1 hour (but if more connection time is needed, they will release it)
